In the vineyard
Harvest is in full swing here at the vineyard. With the super-hot summer we had, things kicked off early with us picking the Solaris destined for sparking wine at the end of August! This quickly followed with the still Solaris, and a week later we managed to bring in all the Pinot Noir Précoce in a morning.
The quality of fruit this year is second to none, due to the hot dry summer, we managed to mitigate disease in the vines and they are looking really healthy with some nice ripe fruit. What a season 2025 is turning out to be!
From what was an extremely early start to harvest, we still have some prized Late Harvest Solaris on the vine, so this has ended up as a very long season for us! But good things come to those who wait, and hopefully we will be able to gather the remaining grapes in next week – volunteers keep an eye out on your emails…
In the bottle
Our latest press review on the Still Solaris 2023, by the one and only Jancis Robinson!
Trendy label. Fresh and curranty. Tastes almost like a Bacchus. Good grip on the palate – a wine with real drive. Well done! A good mouthful of ripe fruit. (JR) We are truly over the moon with such a fantastic review from the doyenne, featured in the Financial Times on the 4th September. Thanks for all the orders and support on the back of it, if you’d like to top up your stocks then head to our website Solaris – Rowton where we can arrange delivery or click & collect from the farm.
