Pruning done, budburst is around the corner! April 2024
Our next tour date is live! Join us on Saturday 27th April, 3pm at the vineyard. We'll have a stroll around the vines and a taste of 3 of our award winning wines! Dogs on a lead are more than welcome to join in the fun

The Winter pruning work has all been wrapped up, with thanks to our volunteers who came to pull out the old pruning’s! They definitely made light work of a big task and this has freed up time for Zoe to crack on with some other jobs – everything seems to be developing early this year so we’re trying to stay one foot ahead of the game!

We managed to find a “drier” spell to get on and mulch up the pruning’s. We are really pleased with the job of the mower, breaking down the long pieces of wood into tiny chunks which will easily be broken down into the soil over the coming months – all adding to our soil structure!

We’re just over half way through tying down the fruiting canes onto the fruiting wire, the buds are beginning to develop so we can’t leave this job too long or else it becomes very tricky not to knock the new buds off!

The finishing touches have been decided for our 2023 vintage Solaris and Still Pink, and these will be heading into bottle over the next month or so. We’ve also been working on a new Pink Fizz 2023 blend, and we’re really chuffed with how it’s tasting! This wine goes through the Traditional Method (same as Champagne, Cava etc), and we aim to age it for 18 months on it’s lee’s. So, we’ll be looking to release this wine early 2026!

However, don’t fear about running out of Sparkling wine, as we still have stock of our 2018 Pink Fizz and our 2022 Sparkling Solaris. Both available on our website or out and about at events and markets!

What our customers have to say…
My second Solaris. Really loving this fantastic drop from lovely Shrewsbury. Light, fragrant, grass notes. Lots of green apple and a tropical edge.
