We entered our debut wine into two very exciting competitions; The Independent English Wine Awards (IEWA) and the Wine GB competition.
Both our debut wines were entered into the IEWA competition and we’re very pleased to announce that both wines came away with a Bronze award!
We then entered our Solaris into the Wine GB Competition, where it also gathered a Bronze award. We are really chuffed with the results considering the high standards of both competitions.
Wine GB commented saying “A record number of wines were entered this year with the highest ever number of producers entering from all over the country, including more of first time entrants than ever before alongside many regular competitors”.
The IEWA judges comments on our pink; “lovely colour, with red fruit and orange peel on the nose, and a touch of earthiness. Ripe, good fruit. Strawberry and redcurrant notes of the palate. Juicy and clean with a tasty red fruit character. Well made”.
The IEWA judges comments on our Solaris; “Juicy, engaging citrus and spearmint nose, with nice banana notes on the palate, and a touch of salinity. Some bruised, slightly bitter notes on the mid-palate, nicely balanced”.
Both wines are now available to purchase through our cellar door or our website.
